Waiver Terms

The Rideau Valley Conservation Authority (RVCA)’s 2026 Commemorative Calendar Contest involves the submission of photographs of wildlife, scenes, or landscapes that represent the Rideau Valley watershed (“Entry”). Winning photos will be featured with photographer credit in our 2026 calendar. The RVCA reserves the right to retain all entries for use in any other distributions or publications by RVCA or its charitable foundation, the Rideau Valley Conservation Foundation, with or without credit to the Entrant, regardless of whether the Entry is chosen for the calendar. By making this submission I agree to the following conditions:

As Entrant, I affirm the Entry submitted in this form was taken by me. I affirm this Entry does not infringe on another person’s copyright or intellectual property rights.
As Entrant, I hereby grant the RVCA and its affiliates the irrevocable right to use and publish all data as set forth in the Entry, in whole or in part, for all purposes, in any and all media, distributions and publications in perpetuity, with or without credit to me.
As Entrant, I confirm I have the full right and power to enter into this Agreement and that my submission and this agreement does not in any way conflict with any existing commitment.
I acknowledge that I will not receive any compensation, monetary or otherwise, from the RVCA or its charitable foundation, the Rideau Valley Conservation Foundation, for the use of my submission.
As Entrant, I further acknowledge and agree that:
- The RVCA may make recordings, pictures, videos, images or other derivatives of the Entry without limitation.
- In connection with such recordings, pictures, videos, images or derivatives, the Entrant gives and grants to the RVCA and its affiliates the irrevocable right to use and publish the Entrant’s name, photograph, likeness and biographical data in relation to the Entry.
