Wind down with the sun at Baxter’s free sunset yoga event

KARS, August 14, 2026 – Stretch, breathe and connect with nature during a free sunset yoga event at Baxter Conservation Area this fall.

Gathering at the picnic shelter at 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, yogis of all levels, ages and abilities can reset as the sun sets over the Rideau River. The session will be led by Iron North Studio owner Jenna Ladd and Manotick-area yoga instructor Lesley Peace.

“There’s nothing better than watching the sunset – except maybe practicing yoga as you do it,” said RVCA event organizer Emma Jackson. “This is your chance to slow down, be present and move your body in a beautiful setting.”

The yoga session is part of a series of free public events to complement RVCA’s 60th Anniversary Outdoor Adventure Challenge. The self-guided challenge encourages participants to visit all 11 conservation areas by the end of 2026. Adventurers can also send away for a set of free water bottle stickers featuring each of the sites.
