Invasive Species Removal (European Frogbit and Garlic Mustard) - Jock River Embayment

Date:  Saturday 27 August 2022 -
Location:  Richmond Conservation Area
Time:  09:00am - 12:00pm
City Stream Watch will be conducting another invasive removal on one of our properties in Richmond. We will be targeting both European frogbit (aquatic) and garlic mustard (terrestrial). We will meet in the parking lot of the conservation area for 9:00AM

Parking: There is parking available in the conservation area parking lot 
Meeting location: Richmond Conservation Area 
What to wear: Dress for the weather! Wear waterproof boots, long socks (if you want to borrow chest waders), long pants, and a hat
What to bring: Feel free to bring your own gloves if you have a favorite but we will provide them; please bring your own water bottle
What we will provide: We will have drinking water to replenish empty bottles, some snacks, chest waders (for those who reserve them send me your shoe size with your RSVP), garbage bags and gloves

Invasive Species Removal (Himalayan Balsam and Dog Strangling Vine) - Sawmill Creek

Location:  Richmond Conservation Area
Time:  09:00am - 12:00pm

City Stream Watch will be conducting invasive removal along Sawmill Creek to remove Himalayan Balsam and Dog Strangling Vine. This event will take place off Gloria Ave. - approximately 1 kilometre downstream of Heron Road. Participants will help clear shorelines of these invasive species. We will meet on Gloria Ave before making our way down the creek.

Meeting location: Gloria Ave (street parking available)
