City Stream Watch Invasive Species Workshop
Join us for an invasive species workshop to be held at the Rideau Valley Conservation Centre, 3889 Rideau Valley Drive, on Saturday, August 26, at 10 a.m. The workshop will familiarize you with some of the more common aquatic and terrestrial invasive species in this area. The workshop will explain why invasive species are harmful to ecosystems and steps you can take to prevent invasive species from spreading. There will be a slideshow and a few specimens will be available for reference. The workshop is to be given by our own Fiona Chapman and will last approximately 75 minutes.
Limited parking will be available by the front entrance, though you are welcome to park in either of the adjacent gravel parking lots for the duration of the workshop.
Workshop is limited to approximately 15 people — so register early!
