Work Stages
Preliminary Design Stage:
October - November 2005
- revisit space requirements
- assist with obtaining consultatnts for topographic survey, geotechnical and hydrogeological investigations
- review reports as well as regulatory requirements
- prepare estimate of construction cost and review budget
Final Design Stage and City Approval:
December 2005 to July 2006
- final design drawings
- site plan application
- consultations as required
- public presentation on proposed design and site plan
- updated construction estimates
- City of Ottawa Council approval
Construction Documents Stage and Agreements with City:
August to October 2006
- construction drawings and specifications
- building permit
- grant applications
- updated cost estimates and revise construction documents as necessary to come in on budget
- finalize various agreements with the City
Construction Phase:
November 2006 to October 2007
- construction of new office building
- site meetings plus stie review/inspections
- clarifications and changes to work, as required
- payment certificates and certificates of completion
Move-in Phase:
November 2007
- delivery of new furnishings and equipment
- furnishings and equipment moved from Manotick
- staff move into new office
